 The OVERALL GOAL  OF WORKSHOP

 

  •  To  provide participants with evidence from research findings and practice on the current state of the debates and discourses in new technology application to continuing education studies, that will redound to the promotion of positive  attitudes and abilities in the proper use of these new tools, techniques and resources.

  • To encourage participants to embrace creative and innovative solutions to current and future practices in the transfer of knowledge to continuing education learners.

  • To assist participants in exploring and developing an awareness of the human potentials related to the use of technology in all areas of life.

  • To assist participants in gaining awareness of the importance of adjusting to the changing educational environment that is possible with the use of new technological trends and learning strategies in continuing education studies.  

  • To assist participants to recognize problems and opportunities existing with the new trends and strategies.

  • To assist participants in becoming aware of the issues, challenges of ICT and web-based technologies in continuing education studies.

  • To assist participants to understand human preferences and the ethical and environmental impacts associated with the use of technology in continuing education studies.

 

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES

 

  • Participants will be able to Identify, select, and efficiently use appropriate technological knowledge, resources, and processes to satisfy the  wants and needs of adult learners in continuing education studies

  • Participants will be able to evaluate technological aids according to their positive and negative, planned and unplanned, and immediate and delayed consequences.

  • Participants will be able to evaluate technology’s capabilities, uses, and consequences in online and onsite learning opportunities.

  • Participants will be able to appreciate the  scope of web-based technology as a tool for knowledge transfer

  • Participants will appreciate the importance of, the efficiency and affordability that information and technology bring to continuing education

       

 

DELIVERY MODE

 

On-site training provided through power point, video and interactive group discussions, and case study scenarios presentation.

 

PRESENTATION METHODOLOGY AND TOOLS

 

The following methods of delivery will be employed in this program. These are:-On-site power point presentations, on-line webinars, on-site case study, scenarios and focus group discussions.

 

PARTICIPANTS

 

Academic staff who are involved in the evaluation of students' motor and performance skills during physical education.

 

OUTLINE OF PROGRAM PRESENTATIONS:

This program will be delivered over five (4) days from (From 7th to 10th March 2016) (9.30 am to 1 pm), with two refreshment and a lunch break daily.

Each presentation will be allowed one (1) hour of presentation and follow-up question time. Refreshment breaks will be 15 minutes each at mid morning and mid afternoon, with Lunch being allocated a 45 minutes break.

E-learning and Pedagogy. Innovation in teaching inevitably brings forward different delivery formats and modern teaching methodologies. Furthermore, E-Learning is a comprehensive umbrella that incorporates technology tools to support and enrich the learning experience. This strand provides an opportunity for faculty members, graduate students and instructional designers to discuss and share research, best practices, collaborations and ideas on integrating technology in learning. Topics may include but are not limited to: Innovations in teaching technologies, Web-Enhanced Learning, Blended Learning, Online Learning, Mobile Learning, Quality course design, Creative uses of Learning Management System (LMS).

The cost is US$600 per person . The cost per person will cover the following:-

    Participants are required to bring their own laptops to the training.

    For all non faculty members you should to deposit %50 from the payment before receiving

    the invitation letter

    All the registration fee are nonrefundable after issuing the invitation letter.

     

    ADDITIONAL INDIVIDUAL COSTS

  • Participants will bear the cost of accommodation.
